Gary Owen was born to a coal mining family in western PA and raised in a small rural community in the Appalachian Mountains. He moved to Florida 33 years ago and studied Criminal Justice; he later became a Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Florida. He owned and operated a wholesale, retail, and flooring installation business for 15 years prior to entering the insurance industry 12 years ago. He joined the US Air Force Auxiliary in 1998 and became a Search & Rescue Mission Pilot, then later a Squadron and Group Commander, and subsequently appointed as the Florida Wing Inspector General. He received numerous ‘Commander Commendation’, ‘Achievement’, and ‘Life Saving’ Awards during his tenure. He is a graduate of the US Air Force AETC, Air University’s, “Air Command Staff College”. Gary also attained the Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow designation with the American College. He qualified for MDRT while at AIG and qualified for Leadership Club and Leadership Council. He served 6.5 years with a national Medicare carrier and currently is the President of Owen Insurance Group located in Stuart, FL. He passionately works with 200+ agents in his General Agency specializing in Medicare, Long-Term Care, and Life Insurance Planning. For fun, Gary likes to travel, operates a “Whisky Tasting Club”, and is a PADI qualified Advanced Open Water Scuba Diver. He lives in Palm City, FL and has a beautiful 20-year old daughter (Kaitlyn).
Executive Administrative Assistant
Livia Bonet is the Executive Administrative Assistant for Owen Insurance Group. She assists agents with all of their contracting needs and is the liaison between insurance carriers and agents. Livia is responsible for customer service and client relations, as well as coordinating logistics and marketing for all Owen Insurance Group events. She possesses impeccable customer service skills and is ready to tackle any task thrown her way with a smile. Before this role, Livia worked as an Administrative Assistant with Toll Brothers at Jupiter Country Club where she was in charge of sales implementation and reporting, event planning, sales tours and was the first point of contact for all potential homeowners. Livia is originally from southern Indiana and is married with two beautiful children. She has been in Florida for 25 years and currently resides in Port St Lucie while enjoying biking, travelling and truly living the Florida lifestyle.
Tom Bouvier was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana until he was 17 years old, enjoying a life of sailing, athletics
Later, he began helping people by selling medication and medical supplies. His desire to help people with their healthcare needs led him to obtain his health insurance license where he specialized in Medicare plans. He became a Coach, Trainer and Training Coordinator overseeing the training of hundreds of Licensed Agents during the Medicare Annual Election Period each year. He is honored to be a part of the ‘OIG Team’ now, offering Medicare plans from many different carriers. I have written and published two booklets – Obamacare First Aid – Your First Aid to Understanding the Affordable Care Act 2013.
I am a proud mother of two sons (one is in the Air Force in Omaha) and the other is a student at Palm Beach State. I paint, write, garden, and am constantly devoted to improvement. I am a Certified Hypnotist and a Health Coach. I have learned many skills and the most important one is listening.

Carole Casella grew up in Upstate NY. Her background in physical fitness led her to work in a premier Business Athletic Club – developing membership while providing opportunities for business and social interaction. Upon receiving a Business of Science degree from Roberts Wesleyan College, she moved to Florida 24 years ago.
Carole’s focus changed to working with companies of all sizes, providing services of a Professional Employer Organization, known also as Employee Leasing. Business services included a full range from payroll, administration, human resources, workers compensation, employee benefits and more.
In 2001, Carole formed Assurance Solutions Inc. offering Worksite and Individual Benefits Solutions. Benefit programs start with health insurance both under age 65 and over age 65. Expanding into additional enhanced/voluntary benefits to include Life, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness/Cancer, Hospitalization and Long Term Care. Working as an independent consultant representing all reputable carriers, Carole can “Assure” the right “Solution” for individuals & families and in the workplace.
Pamela Nichols was born in St. Louis, Missouri, She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia; Her Masters of Business Administration degree from Fontbonne College in St. Louis, Missouri. Pamela worked for Union Pacific Railroad from 1998-2007. In July 2007 she received her insurance license. Pamela moved to Miami, Florida, in 2016 to be near the warm weather. She moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in August 2018.
Pamela is a member of the Treasure Coast Senior Advocate. She spends her time volunteering in the community. She enjoys church, reading, playing with her dogs, and she enjoys working with the senior community.
Rockwell B. Reid
Rockwell’s career in the insurance industry began like many others…unexpectedly. His passion for helping others achieve their goals and see them succeed made the Insurance industry a perfect fit since it’s a way to help others protect their financial future. In 2017, Rockwell became a licensed Health & Life ( Including Annuities & Variable Contracts) Agent. Prior to the Insurance and Financial industry, Rockwell served honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of service to the Marine Corps, Rockwell pursued and had a successful career in the Information Technology industry as a Senior Network Engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Communication and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
Rockwell is happily married to his lovely wife Winsom and has five children, three lovely daughters and two wonderful sons. Away from the business, he enjoys fitness, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Dina Calenzo grew up in upstate New York. Her background is in client based sales as well as working in NY for a federal Judge for many years before relocating to SW Florida 15 years ago. Her passion has always been to create an enhanced customer service experience and to exceed the expectations of clients.
This focus on serving others led her to healthcare and she joined Lee Health in 2014. She works as a post-acute relations representative and assists patients with navigating the health system and in receiving the right level of care at the right time. She understands how difficult it is to navigate through Medicare insurance. Dina has won numerous awards while at Lee Health including a Doc Coggins Commitment to Excellence Award for customer service, and multiple key contributor awards for advancing health key system initiatives. She is certified in Hospital Advocate Training, and Healthcare Marketing. With over 15 years of marketing, sales and healthcare experience, Dina understands how to build trusting and long lasting relationships with families and the community.
Dina has 2 children both in high school and enjoys spending time with family, boating, going to the beach, kayaking , and especially playing pickleball
Roger Candela has been a licensed insurance agent since 2005 and represents major carriers such as United American, Aetna and United Health Care, who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the industry, as well as sound financial reserves and selective underwriting standards. Roger’s business is concentrated on the business markets and the Senior Market (Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicare Supplemental Plans).
Roger was born in Tunis, Tunisia and migrated to the U. S. at the age of seven. He was married to Mathilde Candela and has 3 children and five grandchildren. As a consequence of being born to immigrants and being married to a French “gal”, he is fluent in French and Italian. He enjoys woodworking, tinkering with projects and one of his goals, is to travel to most of the world he hasn’t seen yet.
Roger’s primary business goal is, to educate his clients so they can best protect their independence, assets and peace of mind. Roger has a straight-forward approach when consulting with clients, helping them to choose customized plans and providing innovative solutions for their individuals needs. Roger spends a significant amount of his time working with clients who are concerned of the effects that not being protected with sound and affordable care may have on a family – both financially and emotionally.

Amber Jackson is a Treasure Coast born native with 3 fantastic children and has been married for 16 years. She has been a licensed agent since August 2015 and found her niche with Medicare recipients. She served on a UHC campaign for 3 1/2 years, helping future and current members with finding a plan that best meets needs. She started as an agent and then worked her way up the ladder to become a trainer and then finally settled with the Training Coordinators position with UHC Medicare Sales. Amber has a passion for Florida wrestling as both her son (currently in the U.S. Navy) and her daughter are wrestlers. Living life for her family and making others live hassle and stress free with their Medicare is what she sets as her goals.
Lynn Welch was born in Pawtucket RI, where she attended the University of RI and received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.Lynn was and still is passionate about animal welfare which lead her to be interested in a plant-based diet at the age of 19. She chose to pursue her Registered Dietitian designation and work in a hospital setting, planning and educating patients per their individual dietary needs.
After a few years, Lynn decided to move to Colorado, and it was there she changed her career to insurance. While working for AAA, she obtained her insurance licenses for both Colorado and Florida.
Seeking a more flexible schedule, Lynn left AAA and took a position with United Health Care selling Medicare products. This allowed her to continue her career while caring for her husband who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

Lynn lives in Vero Beach, FL. She enjoys being with her cat and dog. In her spare time, she likes visiting relatives and friends and cooking plant-based meals.
